It’s 6.45am. You get up and ready for work. Grab a coffee. And a slice of toast if you have time.
25 new emails start your work day. Followed by back-to-back meetings. At lunch, you eat your ham and cheese sandwich at your desk — because you never have time to make anything healthier — and you need to catch up on messages. When it’s 5pm you grab a much needed coffee and Twix and finally get started on your to-do list.
Home at 8.15pm. You skipped the gym. Put an Aldi pizza in the oven — because you don’t have the energy for anything else — and watch 4 episodes of Brassic (I love Michelle Keegan too!). You head to bed at 11pm. Feeling guilty, you promise yourself you’ll eat better tomorrow, not work so late, read The Diary of a CEO before bed and have an early night.
Can you relate?
When society convinces us this is “normal” — and we constantly feel the pressure to just show up and get on with it — it’s no wonder we feel lost. Stuck in bad habits. And frustrated for not doing what we said we would.
The good news? You can change. Even if you’re overwhelmed and have no idea where to start right now.
It won’t be easy. Nothing worthwhile is. But I know from personal experience and working with women like you, it’s possible (and in less time than you think).
So here are 2 things you can do to help you have a successful career AND feel happy and healthy.
#1 Create a morning routine
Have a glass of water. Stretch. Exercise. Meditate. Eat a healthy breakfast.
Does this seem impossible? If so, please download my free Healthy Habits Guide below. You’ll learn the 5 habits happy, healthy and confident women do every day — and how to create them step by step.
#2 Find your passions
When you don’t know what you want to do with your personal time, it’s easy to stay late, work weekends, and make excuses for why you work so much.
So think about the things that bring you joy — then proactively make time for them every day or week.

To make the change you know you need to make in your life, you have to do something different. And to stop overwhelm from holding you back, you need to know where to start.
My suggestion? Go to your calendar right now and schedule 1 hour to yourself this Saturday. (If you think you don’t have time to do this, it’s even more important that you do.)
Now decide which idea you’ll focus on — and where and when (e.g. at your favourite local coffee shop at 10.30am). This is an implementation intention and increases your chance of doing what you say you will by 91%!
Do something different this weekend. Put yourself first. You’ll immediately feel more motivated, in control and energised.
Thanks so much for reading.
