There’s nothing wrong with me…

And, I promise, there’s nothing wrong with you.

A while ago, I had a life-changing breakthrough that stopped the guilt and frustration of always trying to change, but never actually doing what I said I would.

I discovered that the secret to getting everything you want isn’t more discipline or “being good” — it’s healthy habits.

Simple lifestyle changes you can make right now to become the person you truly want to be.

Want to know what they are?

Keep reading to learn (in 4 minutes):

  • The 5 simple habits every woman should do to feel happy and healthy every day
  • 3 ways to make new habits easy
  • How long it takes to create good habits
  • The best thing you can do for yourself to feel more joy
  • Why you often feel guilty and frustrated — and what to do about it

Research shows more than 40% of your daily actions are habitual.

Over the long term, this means habits determine whether you’re happy and healthy — or not.

It’s not what you do every once in a while impacting how you look and feel — it’s what you do regularly and consistently.

So here’s 5 healthy habits to get you started.

5 Daily Habits Every Woman Should Have

(1) Sleep for at least 7 hours

(2) Eat a healthy breakfast

(3) Go on a walk

(4) Journal your thoughts

(5) Compliment yourself

You’ll feel the benefits instantly.

Plus, when you do these 5 consistently, they’ll change your life in less time than you imagine.

New routines can feel challenging, but trust me, it’s only until they become a habit.

Once they’re a ritual — an automatic part of your routine — they take little to no effort at all.

In fact, it’ll start to feel weird if you don’t do them!

So don’t give up on them.

The time it takes to develop a habit is different for everyone. But research shows it takes 66 days on average.

3 Ways To Make Creating Good Habits Easier

(1) Create one habit at a time. Anything new takes energy and effort, so don’t set yourself up to fail by trying to change multiple things at once.

(2) Be specific with your habit. Don’t just say you’ll start walking. Decide when and where, too. E.g. “I’ll have a 15-minute walk every morning at 7 am”.

(3) Start with morning habits. You’ll have more motivation and energy, so are more likely to do what you said. We struggle with evening habits because we’re ready for a cosy night on the sofa!

Remember, you’re changing mindsets and behaviours you’ve built over years and years!

So, thinking you can change in a few days or weeks, is unrealistic — and a recipe for guilt, frustration and disappointment.

Give yourself the grace of time. Think long-term achievement over quick wins (that never last!).

This patience and self-compassion is truly the best thing you can do for yourself when you’re trying to change.

When you remove the pressure of perfection and embrace gradual improvement, you make creating habits easier and more joyful.
