Tired? Sluggish? Unmotivated?
Many women I work with have low moods, don’t feel like themselves, and wish they looked better.
And you know what, it often links back to what we’re eating — or more accurately, what we’re not eating.
The worst bit? We never become the person we want to be, even though we’re always trying to “be good”.
Translation? We’re always restricting ourselves. And it’s making us feel tired, sluggish and unmotivated.
Because we’re not getting the vitamins and minerals we need to look and feel great.
We’re not taught that good nutrition is essential for your mind and body to be at their best. And that what you eat affects how you look, think, feel and act — so much more than you realise.
That’s why, for a long time now, I’ve focused on healthy eating (over dieting and fads).
Eating food in its natural state, as much as possible. That’s the only “rule”.
No portion sizes. No sins. No “being good”.
It’s a balanced way of eating that makes you feel in control of who you are and what you do.
A journey of slowly adjusting what you eat OVER TIME.
It’s not green smoothies and avocado on toast every day from tomorrow!
Or, creating yet another eating plan. I actually never suggest these to the women I work with. It’s not good for your mental or physical health. And it’s certainly not enjoyable.
My goal’s to help you become the person you truly want to be — confident, happy and successful. By sharing the mindset shifts, healthy habits and simple tools that help me look and feel my best, so you can too.
With that said, here’s my recommended two-step approach to get started with healthy eating:
Step 1
Decide right now to drop diet culture. It’s an all-or-nothing approach that doesn’t work long-term. A negative way of thinking focused on what you can’t have rather than what you can.
Step 2
For two weeks, don’t change anything you eat, except for adding veggies or fruit to every meal or snack.
Just a handful will flood your body with essential nutrients that combat fatigue, support hormone balance (makes you feel better), reduce inflammation (makes you look better), and even improve your mood through gut-brain pathways.
In other words, you’ll stop feeling so tired and sluggish. And start having more energy, a clearer head and a better body.
Trust me, small steps lead to big changes.
You will become the person you truly want to be. It just takes time and consistency.
