It doesn’t happen as much these days.
But in my twenties. I used to get stuck in my head. All the time.
I’d sit on my sofa in front of our dining room window. Sunshine streaming through. Coffee in hand… And negative overthinking and overwhelm would paralyse me.
Guess what helps?
Exercising your mind. Every. Single. Day.
Just like you exercise your body to keep it strong, fit and healthy — I realised your mind needs that too.
Plus, I’m not sure about you…? But I can motivate myself to do mindset exercises way easier than going for a run, to Bootcamp or Insanity.
That’s why I want to share 3 habits with you today — that when I do them consistently, make me feel positive, resilient and content.
I hope they do the same for you.
Habit #1
Ask yourself these questions:
What could’ve gone better today, and what can I learn from it?
What’s gone well today that I can celebrate?
Habit #2
Meditate. Or put simply: Sit down in a quiet place. Close your eyes. And focus on your breath for 5-10 minutes.
Habit #3
Listen to podcasts that teach, inspire and energise you (rather than fear-driven radio, TV and news) when getting ready every morning.
Set an intention to do at least one of these mindset habits 4 to 5 times a week. And in less than a month, you’ll feel the benefits — a more optimistic, confident and peaceful mind.
