Don’t beat yourself up so much.

I’m glad you keep starting again on Monday.

It tells me you know something important. That you can’t be the best version of YOU if you don’t put your health first.

It also means you’re strong. No matter how many times you’ve tried, you don’t give up.

These are powerful personal traits. Own them.

The only thing holding you back? Your mindset.

So, keep reading to learn:

  • One simple mantra AND mindset shift that’ll help you improve your health without feeling guilty or frustrated
  • The key to your happiness and success (most women do the opposite of this)
  • How I sabotaged my success without realising it — are you doing the same?
  • Why starting with your diet and exercise is a waste of time — and what you need to do first that actually works

I know from experience that feeling confident and happy in who you are starts with a decision to take care of your mind and body from a place of self-love.

This is the opposite of what I used to do.

I tried to exercise more because I didn’t like who I saw in the mirror and thought being toned was the answer.

I tried to eat better because I didn’t like my legs and thought losing weight and being skinny was the answer.

They weren’t!

If you solely focus on your diet and exercise, it’s like building your dream house without foundations. It won’t last.

Let me share exactly how I sabotaged myself.

I set impossible standards: “no chocolate or crisps from Monday and 4 gym classes next week”.

Then, I’d beat myself up when I inevitably failed: “I never do what I say I will, I have no willpower”.

Finally, I’d use my “failure” as evidence I couldn’t do it: “I’ll never be who I want to be, I’m just not motivated enough”.

Sound familiar?

Most women do this. Instead of approaching health from self-love, they approach it from self-criticism.

They restrict foods they enjoy, and exercise because they “have to”, creating feelings of deprivation and heaviness.

Which leads to binge eating, skipped workouts, negative thought spirals, and the cycle of starting again every Monday.

The Mindset Shift

Yes, it’s true…

To look and feel good every day, you need to invest in your health.

BUT, what they don’t tell you is that mindset is the key to long-term results, motivation and your overall happiness and success.

A mindset all about creating a healthy body because you care about it, not because you hate it.

A mindset shift based on a simple mantra:

I think like I love myself.

I eat like I love myself.

I exercise like I love myself.

I act like I love myself.

You might be thinking, but I don’t love myself.

Say it anyway.

Because when repeated enough times, these words will shift how you see yourself.

And, when they do, you’ll make healthier choices because they make you feel good, not because you’re trying to fix something “wrong” with you.

Try it now. Read that mantra out loud.

It’ll feel strange, but only for the first few days. So, keep repeating it.

Your mindset will slowly begin to shift — followed quickly by your behaviour.

Because, from a place of self-love, you’ll want to create healthy habits that last AND make you happy!

It’s an inside-out transformation that makes starting again on Monday a thing of the past.
