Do you often get stuck focusing on the negatives in your life?
If so, this week’s blog post’s will help. You’ll discover 3 ways to be more positive so you can:
- Feel happier and healthier in yourself and with your life.
- Reduce negative and self-critical thoughts.
- Improve your self-confidence.
- Ease feelings of anxiety and stress.
- Increase your energy and motivation.

The first step to being more positive? Choosing to be a positive person.
The second step? Creating daily practices that make you feel more positive and help you be the person you want to be.
Of course, life will always have its struggles and challenges — making it hard to be positive all the time. Nevertheless, choosing to be a positive person and having daily practices that make you feel more positive, will help you cope better when things are difficult.
It also makes it easier to think more positively or do something positive — both of which make you feel better — on those days when your mood is low and you’re stuck in your head.
With that, here’s 3 daily practices to help you feel more positive over time:
Daily Practice #1
What you say to yourself has a huge impact on how you feel. So, notice how you speak to yourself — and without judgment, state what’s happening. For example: “I’m having negative thoughts”. Or “I’m being self-critical”.
Then, speak to yourself in a more positive and encouraging way. For example: “I know this is difficult but a positive is realising you can get through a situation like this”. Or “I’m sorry I was critical — something I like about how you look today is your hair”.
Initially, this might feel strange, but learning to coach yourself is one of the best ways to improve your life.
Daily Practice #2
Do you know what you eat affects how you think and feel? There’s a reason they say — “good food = good mood!”
So why not eat healthier by adding just a few more nutritious foods into your day? It’ll help you feel better, think clearer and give you more consistent energy.
Also, please know change is a gradual process, so just choose one or two things to change at a time — and let your healthy eating habits build over time.
Daily Practice #3
I’m sure you know by now that exercising releases feel-good chemicals in your mind and body that lift your mood, clear your head and boost your energy.
So why not exercise more and see how it makes you feel?
Try a 10-minute walk, a 15-minute pilates class on YouTube, or ask Alexa to play Taylor Swift and dance around your kitchen! Any movement makes a difference.
Do You Need To Change Things?
Now you’ve read this self-help article, it’s time to take action if you want to see a positive change in your life.
So, will you choose to be a positive person from this moment forward? And if so, which daily practice will you adopt first from the 3 above?
The key to all of these 3 practices is consistency. And like anything worthwhile in life, it takes time, effort and patience to get there — but it’s always worth it. Especially when you look up one day I realise you’re being the person you want to be.

In summary, my 1:1 Coaching Program helps kind, smart and ambitious women, like you, stick to the 3 healthy habits above so you can be happier and healthier in just 12 weeks — or your money back.
Here’s what Ashleigh and Amy say about it:
Ashleigh — “Before I started coaching I was feeling very overwhelmed, anxious and generally unhappy with most things in my life. Struggling to see the positives and focusing solely on the negatives in my life. [Becky’s 12 week coaching experience] has changed everything. I have learnt so much about myself, my personality, how to coach myself, how to stick to a habit, identify the wins and positives in my life, to allow time to myself with no guilt. Healthy boundaries, healthier eating habits. It’s hard to put into words all the positive changes I have had in my life since doing this coaching.”
Amy — “[Before Becky’s coaching experience] I tried talking therapy however this did not coach negative thoughts, it just meant I was talking about them repetitively. [Becky’s approach] looked at all aspects of my life and encouraged me to consider lots of positives not just my negatives! It has made such a positive impact on my life! I’m now able to ‘check’ my overthinking when it starts to show itself, I feel much calmer in my mindset and really focus on the gratitudes I have. And my self confidence has really grown.”
To ensure a tailored-to-you experience, I only work with 12 women at a time. So, don’t miss out!
