3 Ways To Make 2025 Your Best Year

#1 — Choose ONE Goal

Every year, month, week, day…I used to have so much I wanted to achieve that my energy and motivation levels couldn’t keep up.

No matter how hard I tried, I never felt like anything changed.

Can you relate?

If so, consider giving this secret success tool (I wish I’d known about it sooner!) a go this year…

Choose ONE goal to focus on and stick with it until you can tick it off.

Rather than listing 5 to 10 things you want to achieve, I encourage you to pick ONE goal for your personal life and ONE for your professional life.

I know you have a lot of things you want to achieve, but up until now, how has trying to do everything at once worked for you? If you’re anything like me, not so well — because change takes a lot of energy and effort.

That’s why when we try to do too much at once, we lose motivation and quit.

Counterintuitively, focusing on one goal at a time increases the success you’ll have. It conserves your energy, helps you avoid overwhelm, and increases your chances of doing what you say you will.

It also improves your self-confidence — because sticking to one thing until you tick it off your list or it becomes a habit gives you a feeling of success and boosts your self-belief.

Don’t get me wrong…I’m not saying to only focus on one thing in your personal life and one in your professional life.

What I’m encouraging you to do — alongside everything you already do — is prioritise one change you want to make in your personal life and one professionally — and focus on achieving it without the pressure of a second, third and fourth goal!

#2 — Write Your Goals Down Daily

Now you’ve decided your #1 personal goal and #1 professional goal, write them down daily. Plus one thing you’re going to do towards achieving it.

Why? Because research shows you’re 40% more likely to achieve your goals when you write them down. And daily progress, no matter how big or small, makes us feel good.

For example, if your personal goal is to exercise more consistently. Every day, write that down.

On day 1, you might also write that between 7 pm and 7.30 pm, you’ll research the best way to make exercise a habit.

On day 2, you might write that you’ll order new workout leggings and tops between 7 pm and 8 pm.

And on day 3, you might write that you’ll create a simple weekly exercise plan.

#3 — Get An Accountability Partner

Now you’ve got your top goals and daily action steps written down, share them with someone you trust. I also encourage you to agree a time every week or month to report your progress.

Why? Because it feels good to have support, encouragement and accountability from someone who cares about you and your success. Plus, it’s been proven to increase your chances of success by 95%. Yes, really!

So, whether your accountability partner is a friend, colleague or coach, just be sure to tell someone about your goals this year and report on your progress regularly to practically guarantee your chances of success.

I know you’ll be tempted to do all the things this year…

    • Create better eating and exercise habits.
    • Stop overthinking and be more confident.
    • Improve mental health.
    • Stop being so up and down.
    • Make time for what I enjoy.
    • Stop feeling so stressed, anxious and overwhelmed.
    • Learn how to set boundaries.
    • Find my energy, motivation and passion again.

But, trust me when I say, less is more.

Choose one goal, even if it’s just for a month, and see how much more you achieve. Plus, most importantly, how much better you feel about yourself!

If you want to be happier and healthier this year, you can’t keep doing what you’ve always done. You have to let go of your current mindset, habits and patterns. You have to do something different.
