Keep trying to eat better?

BUT find yourself calling for a takeaway, binging on crisps and dip, or going out for another meal and choosing something you then feel guilty about later?

Thinking…”I’ve done it again. Why can’t I ever do what I say I will? Why can’t I just be more disciplined? Why do I always quit on myself?”

I’ve been there too.

Want to know my mistake?

I was trying to change EVERYTHING at once.

I wanted to…

  • Eat healthy from now on.
  • Stop having takeaways, pizzas and ready meals.
  • Replace all my “bad” treats with healthy ones.
  • Stop binge eating.
  • Have a healthy breakfast
  • Make salads for lunch.
  • Cook healthy suppers at home.
  • Stop eating crisps, chocolate and biscuits.
  • Eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day.
  • Have green tea instead of lattes.
  • Drink 8 glasses of water each day.
  • Stop drinking Coke.
  • Only have one cheat meal a week.

It’s no wonder I felt so overwhelmed. That nothing I did worked. And part of me thought I couldn’t do it — that I just wasn’t the kind of person who could be really happy and healthy.

I was wrong.

A Simple Way To Be Healthier

Since then, I’ve learnt everything I can about health, happiness, psychology, behaviour change and habits. And over time, made the changes I knew I needed to make to improve my health and wellbeing.

What would I do now to get there 10x faster?! I’d get a coach. It’s one of the simplest things you can do to be happier and healthier. And, increases your chances of achieving what you want by 95%.

That’s why I started coaching. To help women like you and me, learn how to eat healthier, exercise more consistently, and feel better mentally, emotionally and physically — so you can finally be happier, healthier and more confident. And so you don’t have to do it alone.

Women everywhere hire coaches to help them achieve what they want in both their personal and professional lives. Actresses, athletes, CEOs and even “that girl”, have coaches to help them be their best every single day. So, why wouldn’t you?

With that said, if you’d like my help achieving your health and wellbeing goals, you can check out my 1:1 Coaching Program here.

5 Things I Wish I’d Known Sooner About Eating Better

Now you know the simplest thing you can do to be healthier, here’s 5 things I wish I’d known sooner.

(1) Change is hard. It’s up and down like a rollercoaster. And takes time — so much more time than you want it to take especially if you don’t have personalised support, reassurance and accountability. But, I’m living proof you can change for the better if you take your first step right now and decide to put yourself and your health first.

(2) Start small. You don’t need to overhaul everything at once. Healthy eating is about making small tweaks to your lifestyle that add up over time. So, choose one or two changes at a time. And trust me, one change makes a difference — even if you don’t think it does.

(3) You don’t need to be perfect. But you do need to be consistent. If your goal is to have a healthy breakfast every morning but don’t fancy it some days, don’t skip it altogether. Have something quick and healthy like a banana or Weetabix. Or, skip it for one day only, then get right back to it the next day.

(4) Health and happiness is holistic. An inside-out job. You have to know who you are as a person, like that person and respect who you are. It’s about creating healthy habits for your mind AND body that make you look AND feel good — because you know you deserve it.

(5) Food is nature’s medicine. What you eat affects your mental, emotional and physical health. It impacts your mood, how you feel, how you think, your energy levels and even how well you age! Yet, it only takes a few extra portions of fruit and veg each day to feel the positive benefits of it.
