We’ve all been there…
Wondering how “that girl” does it all and lives the life she does.
Wishing we had the motivation and energy to do what we said we would.
That’s why in this week’s blog post, I’m sharing a 4-minute tool to help you achieve all your goals.
Because I know you might be thinking, “I can’t do it”. But the thing is, I know you can.
All you need is the knowledge, tools and support. Which is exactly what I’m here to help you with.
The #1 Goal-Setting Tool
The simplest way to achieve everything you want:
Find time in your calendar for your goal.
Make an appointment with yourself to work on it.
Finding time for your goal, and making an appointment with yourself to work on it, is as simple as:
(1) Opening the free calendar app on your phone.
(2) Deciding when and where you’ll work on your goal.
(3) Creating an event on your calendar for the time and place you’ll take action.
For example, if your goal is to exercise more, you might open your phone calendar and create this reoccurring event:
Event Title: Exercise Class
Time: 7 am to 7.30 am (Mon to Thu)
Location: The Gym
If your goal is to be more positive, you might open your phone calendar and create this daily event:
Event Title: Do Gratitude Journalling
Time: 8.30 am
Location: My Desk
This simple 4-minute tool of blocking timeout on your calendar for when and where you’ll work on your goal is backed by science too!
One study found 91% of people who planned when and where they’d exercise, did.
Putting your goals on your calendar works, so why not try it?
Go back to Part 1 of this 3-part series to decide your #1 goal, then make time for it in your calendar.
