3 Ways To Find Time For Yourself This Week

Read this post and you’ll get an extra hour every week for yourself and your passions.

You’ll also discover why taking a detour on your way home from work is a good thing. And the best way to achieve your personal goals.

But first, why do you want more time and space to yourself? What will you do with it? Read? Journal? Book your holiday to Croatia?

I ask, because not being clear on exactly why you want more time for yourself, stops you doing it. So, take a few minutes to jot down 5 things you’d love to do with an extra hour to yourself each week.

Now you know what you’d do with more time, here’s 3 simple ways to create it:

(1) Take a detour on your way home from work. Go to Starbucks or Costa one evening a week for 15 to 60 minutes. Treat yourself to a decaf (just me?!) latte and do something you love. No email. No work. No texts.

(2) Stop starting work SO early. If you’re anything like the “old me”, you start work at least 30 minutes before you need to. So, from now on, why not make it 15 minutes? And meditate or go for a walk instead.

(3) Clean less and last! I used to clean our home every Saturday morning from around 9 am. Then one day I changed it to 10 am — to work on my personal goals first — and I’ve never looked back! Imagine what your Saturday’s could look like if you did the same.

Which of these ideas resonate with you most? And what will you do with your extra 15 to 60 minutes every single week? Send an email to becky@beckyholliday.com and let me know. I’d love to hear from you.

Give yourself the freedom and permission to put yourself first. And enjoy the positive change in your happiness, energy and motivation. Starting now.
